Many of you are die-hard WW fans and for you, I’m gonna warn right now that I may speak some unpopular truths ahead…
Most diet programs are nothing more than a way for unscrupulous marketers to take money from people who are desperate to lose weight.
However, as with any industry, there are a few standouts that avoid this route and actually deliver value to their customers. Since its creation back in 1963, Weight Watchers has long been regarded as one of the “good guys” in the diet industry. Although no diet can compete with a comprehensive weight loss program that provides both high energy workouts and effective nutrition strategies, Weight Watchers has helped plenty of people make at least some progress towards their desired weight.

What’s Up With Weight Watchers?
Trying to lose weight but not being able to do so is extremely frustrating. When you put effort into something, you expect results from it. Unfortunately, you’ve likely had more than one experience where you’ve committed yourself to a weight loss program and ended up not getting the results you wanted.

While everyone knows that there is no magic bullet to losing weight, many people do struggle to figure out why they are let down by multiple weight loss programs even after putting effort into them. The reason this ends up happening to so many people is because there are simply a lot of weight loss programs that aren’t designed to provide real results. Since these programs are only concerned with making as much money as possible, their only focus is doing enough to help people lose a little bit of weight so that they can use these results as marketing for the program. Unfortunately, after making a little bit of progress, these programs simply aren’t developed enough to help you stay on the right track and continue making progress with your weight loss.
A big reason why these programs won’t help you continue making progress is because they put too many restrictions on you. If you’re trying to lose weight by following a diet, it’s natural that you can only follow it for so long before that all of the restrictions get the best of you. When you have to pay close attention to each and every bite that you take, you’re simply not going to have enough willpower to stick with that it indefinitely. And if you’re part of a weight loss program that requires you to work out anywhere from 5 to 7 days a week, this type of schedule simply isn’t sustainable. Not only are you going to end up having to skip workouts because you have other obligations, but your body is going to wear down if you never give it an opportunity to rest.

Instead of being forced to follow complicated rules and work yourself to death, a much better way to lose weight is by learning how to make permanent changes to your eating habits and being able to get the most out of a reasonable number of weekly exercise sessions. While that type of program probably sounds quite appealing to you, you’re probably concerned that no Spokane weight loss program meets this criteria.
Fortunately for you, there is one program that bases itself on these proven principles. You can finally succeed with your Spokane weight loss by joining a boot camp. Not only will you learn practical strategies for how to make the right eating choices in any situation, but you’ll also be able to make significant progress with just 2 to 3 workouts a week. Since you can definitely fit that number of workouts in your schedule, you will be able to stay on track and won’t have to worry about getting burnt out.

Why Is It So Hard to Lose Weight?

For most Spokane residents, losing weight feels like an uphill battle. Regardless of what they do, the number they see when they step on the scale always seems to creep higher. While not being able to lose weight is an extremely frustrating experience, the good news is there are a few primary causes that can be identified.
The first is following a plan that’s not designed for long-term weight loss. This is the reason almost everyone diets but only a small percentage of people actually get the lasting weight loss they want. The problem with almost all popular diets is they’re only designed to help you lose weight during the first few weeks or months. Once this period passes, the restrictive nature of diets means you’re not going to be able to continue following them.
Because diets don’t require you to make any lasting changes, as soon as you quit following their strict rules, you will begin gaining back the weight you lost. In some cases, diets that require you to eat only a small amount can throw off your metabolism and actually cause you to gain back more weight than you lost once you stop following them.
Another primary causes of many people’s struggle with Spokane weight loss is not having support. It does take work to lose weight and keep it off. As a result, you need support as you are working towards this significant change. Numerous studies have shown that when people don’t have ongoing weight loss support, the odds of them reaching their goal is very slim.
The other reason Spokane weight loss can be so challenging is because people get too focused on one aspect of weight loss. Whether it’s cardio or dieting, you don’t want to focus all your energy on just one part of losing weight. Instead, you need to take a balanced approach to getting the body you want.

What Makes Spokane Fat Loss Such a Challenge?

The majority of Americans have difficultly losing weight. Although just about everyone wants to be thinner, very few people are able to lose weight and keep it off. What makes this widespread struggle ironic is that the diet industry pulls in billions of dollars every year. But although diet companies’ bank accounts continue to get bigger, most people aren’t getting slimmer.
A big reason why most people who diet don’t get the results they want is popular diets are only designed to help you drop a few pounds. If you want to look a little slimmer for an upcoming event, a diet can make this possible for you to do. But if you want to continue losing weight month after month and then stay at your ideal weight once you reach your Spokane fat loss goal, dieting is not the answer.
Making a lasting improvement to your body requires changing your habits in a permanent and manageable way. Because diets place so many restrictions on you, the changes you make aren’t going to last. When you eventually run out of willpower, you’ll stop following all of the diet’s rules. As soon as this happens, any weight you lost will begin coming back. While it’s easy to blame yourself for this problem, it’s actually the way diets are designed to work.
Two other big obstacles that stand in the way of people losing weight are a lack of diversity and support. Because of the amount of misinformation that’s published in magazines and online, many people don’t realize that spending hour after hour on a treadmill is not the most effective way to succeed with Spokane fat loss.
Regardless of how independent you are, when it comes to losing weight, you need to have support. Research has confirmed that the people who succeed at losing weight are the ones who have others to turn to when they hit a challenging point.

Most people view eating healthier as a form of punishment. They think that eating to support weight loss requires switching all the foods they like for foods that have no flavor.
Although some “diet” foods are quite bland and boring, eating healthier doesn’t need to be a painful experience. In fact, you may be surprised by the deliciousness of many healthy choices. Since these types of foods aren’t fried beyond recognition or smothered in salt, it gives you a chance to enjoy their natural flavors.
Whether you’re just starting to make healthier choices or need to create some diversity in your existing meal plan, here are ways to eat well without sacrificing flavor…
1. Be Adventurous!
The best way to avoid getting bored with your food choices is to regularly try something new. When you go to the grocery store each week, make it a point to buy a type of vegetable or fruit that you haven’t tried in the past. Once you begin this fun new approach to choosing food, you’ll be surprised by all of the great new flavors you discover.
When you find a new vegetable or fruit that you really like, you can hop online and look for different recipes that include it. After just a month of trying new foods, you can add quite a few new options to your rotation that are very healthy but still quite tasty.
2. Salsa is for More than Chips
Tortilla chips and salsa aren’t the healthiest combination. However, this doesn’t mean you should disregard salsa. Quality fresh salsa is a delicious option you can add to different foods without any guilt.
Although a salad is a great choice for lunch or dinner, people commonly ruin the nutritional value of this choice by slathering it in
dressing that’s high in calories and fat. Instead of taking this route, try putting salsa on your salad. Because it’s a lighter choice, it adds a little zing to your salad without overpowering its natural flavors or ruining its nutritional value.
An egg or two mixed with a few egg whites is a great way to start your day. Although that sounds like a boring choice, you can make it quite good by adding salsa on top.
If you start to realize how much you like salsa, you can expand even more and use it on items like meat as well.
Careful though! The main thing to keep an eye on when you’re buying salsa is the sodium content. After looking at a few labels, you’ll be able to see the types that are the best choice for you.
3. Challenge Yourself to Upgrade
People commonly think of eating better as depriving themselves of the food they truly like. While it is true that improving your eating habits does involve making better choices, this doesn’t mean those changes need to feel like you’re giving up everything you enjoy.
Instead of settling for foods that are considered healthy but you don’t like at all, challenge yourself to find healthier alternatives that are just as tasty as what you’re used to eating. Although it can take some effort to pinpoint good choices that don’t taste bland, the effort you put into this pursuit will pay off by allowing you to stick to a healthier plan instead of getting derailed by blandness.
4. Beans Aren’t Boring!
While baked beans shouldn’t be a staple of your healthy eating, there are plenty of other beans that taste great and fit in with a healthy approach to eating. Black, kidney, pinto and navy beans are all excellent choices.
What makes beans should a good choice? A big selling point is they’re high in natural fiber. As a result, eating beans as a main course or adding them as a side will leave you feeling full.
Another great thing about beans is they’re easy to prepare. If you’re looking for a quick lunch, grab any of these beans in a can, add salsa and you’re ready to eat.
If you’re going to purchase canned beans, you can often find lower sodium choices. Additionally, washing the beans after taking them out of the can will reduce their sodium content. And if you buy dried beans and are concerned about their “side effects,” soaking has been shown to reduce any issues.
5. Engage in a Friendly Competition
Multiple studies have shown that people who pursue weight loss with support from others are far more likely to succeed than those who try to tackle this goal on their own. That’s one of the reasons our training sessions are done in a group setting.
Working out isn’t the only time your efforts to get in better shape can benefit from a social component. Eating well is also more fun when you’re not doing it alone.
If you’ve got a friend or family member who is also focusing on making healthier eating choices, the two of you can have some fun by engaging in a little competition with each other. Specifically, challenge each other to see who can come up with the tastiest healthy meal.
This little competition is a great excuse to not only get together with your friend or family member, but to bring others around as well. You can turn this event into a little tasting competition where both of you can serve the best options you come up with and see what’s judged to be the tastiest.
6. Don’t Let Yourself Get Hungry
Does this scenario sound familiar: you’re trying to improve your food choices, but after not eating for 5 to 7 hours, the idea of a nutritionally sound meal sounds awful and you reach for your standard junk “comfort” food.
A lot of eating better without feeling bored comes from perception. If you allow yourself to get really hungry, you’re going to feel bad and not want healthy food.
But if you eat small meals every 2 to 4 hours, you will be able to stay full even though you’re eating less calories and making healthier choices. This plan really works well if you try to include some fiber, protein or both each time you eat.
What’s your favorite way to inject excitement into your healthier approach to eating?
